Prague; sound bytes and travel advice
I doubt if I’ll post a photo of Prague on my blog after today unless I go there again. I’d like to go but then again there are other places in the world. I’d still go though. In a previous post, I’d told you about the h4n sound recorder. I used it to record some [...]
Old Town Prague.
Yashica Mat TLR Camera and Fuji NEOPAN 100 ISO Black and White film. Old Town Prague is the most beautiful place that I have been to. The architecture is unparallel to anywhere else in the world. The imposing structure that you see is the majestic Church of Our Lady before Týn. Wikipedia suggests that it [...]
Lalbaugcha Raja in 2011
Lalbaugcha Raja has a lot of history behind it dating back to pre independence times. Most of the major textile mills of Bombay stood in this neighbourhood. Mill workers lived here in tenements or chawls. One fine day, the owners of these mills decided to either shut down operations or move elsewhere as property prices [...]

Some photos need to be exhibited at large sizes. Like this one of a man, a tourist, probably, strolling along the second level of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The iconic buildings of the business centre, La Défense are seen in the background. I like it. It needs some further editing though. I have revised [...]
L’Ecole Militaire / La Tour Eiffel
Fuji GS645S Professional rangefinder camera and Kodak TMAX 100 ISO 120mm black and white film. I spent all of yesterday evening catching up with a couple of friends and gobbling down some Chicken Kozhi Porichathu and fried Rawas. Whilst the fish and chicken tasted fantastic, I’m rather disappointed to be back to drinking Kingfisher beer [...]
Bohemia
Fuji GS645S Professional rangefinder camera and ILFORD DELTA PROFESSIONAL 100 ISO 120mm black and white film. Old Town Prague hit me. The architecture is magnificent and unlike other. Charles IV, the Holy Roman Emperor – King of Italy, King in Germany and King of Bohemia, commissioned a lot of it. I am at a loss [...]
La Défense
Fuji GS645S Professional rangefinder camera and Kodak TMAX 100 ISO 120mm black and white film. I don’t like modern architecture. And whenever I see those tall and ugly glass plated corporate buildings, I feel like pelting stones at them. I noticed a cluster of such buildings from atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris that were [...]
L’Avenue des Champs-Elysées
I like this moment. Notice the action of the pedestrians crossing the avenue along the pedestrian crossing in the foreground (and their shadows) and the cars along it, the traffic further down and the people (a lot of them tourists) along the pavements on both sides (and their shadows). Fuji GS645S Professional rangefinder camera and [...]
Versova, Mumbai 400061
Versova is an upmarket neighbourhood in the Andheri area in northern Mumbai. It is located at 19°7’60N 72°47’60E and is known for its beach and the Versova Fort. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versova_(Mumbai) Shot from the 6th floor of a residential building. November in 2009 brought unseasonable thundershowers, pleasant weather and overcast but beautiful skies. Canon AE-1P 50mm f/1.4 [...]

In this day and age, I can recommend only the one professional film lab that processes black and white film in Bombay – Studio Mull Herr. It wasn’t the case five years ago. I had options. 4 or 5 of them. I’d use Mazda most oft. A bunch of juveniles engage in outdoor sports whilst [...]
