ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth: Newsletter – June 2010

@ICICIFoundation has just released their first newsletter. Here is a slideshow of the pages that are carrying the photos I’d shot:

The district called Baran is some 300 odd kilometres from Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan in India. The journey: a flight from Mumbai to Jaipur followed by a road trip to Baran.

I landed in Jaipur at about 5:00 PM. The travel company received me at the airport. Amit had been assigned the task of driving me to Baran that evening and back to Jaipur the following afternoon. We reached the hotel in Baran a little after mid-night at hit the road again at 6:00 AM the following morning. I had about five hours to photograph a school and the villages nearby before starting the long drive back to Jaipur.

The village is splendid. I enjoyed myself.
