I post more photos on my facebook page.
I’d like to take the attention of my regular blog readers to my facebook page, Discover The Art. Starting today, I’ll be posting a TRAVEL PHOTO OF THE DAY along with a small write-up about the location/culture etc. It’s a cool way to discover new places, people, cultures and events etc. So please, head to [...]
Zoomify!
In my previous post, I wrote about the limitations of a computer screen whilst viewing photographs. I find that a lot of details etc. go unnoticed in low-resolution images. I came upon Zoomify, a free program that does this: Powered by Zoomify You can zoom in and out of any section of the photo. It’ll [...]
I had deleted my facebook account about eighteen months ago. I had my reasons. And I have my reasons for reregistering the account today. Please add me. FIN
Update: Fujifilm X100

About the Olympus PEN E-PL2
I haven’t made a single photo in April of 2011. Hang on, I have. I had made some at Azad Maidan during the days of hunger strikes in protest against corruption. The film isn’t developed yet. The city that I live in does not inspire me to make photos. It is the best city in [...]
On the subject of competitions
I came across a photo competition a couple of weeks ago titled ‘Daily Photo’. The theme: Our life is made up of moments that go by unnoticed, due to our daily routine. What would it be like to capture this routine with a camera? What would it be like to freeze these moments of our [...]
The Masterclass Gallery
I don’t know how I feel about competitions that are fully or partly judged by the audiences/viewers/community members etc. as opposed to specialists in that respective field. An individual having a wide online/offline social network could pile on the votes irrespective of the quality of his/her work. And timely submissions can accumulate more votes than [...]
